A Product Manager’s Holiday Wishlist

Dear Product Santa,

I’ve been good this year—I prioritized features, kept stakeholders happy (mostly), and even hit the roadmap deadlines (with only minor scope creep). So, here’s what I’d love this holiday season:

1️⃣ A stakeholder who reads the brief before the meeting.
- Because “Did you read the document I shared?” shouldn’t be my opening line.

2️⃣ A bug-free release.
- Just one, Santa. Imagine a release day with no frantic pings from QA.

3️⃣ More user feedback that’s actionable.
- Less “I don’t like it” and more “This doesn’t solve my problem because…”

4️⃣ Engineers who say, “That’s easy to build!” 😂
- (And actually mean it!)

5️⃣ The perfect RICE score to end prioritization debates.
- No more tug-of-war over feature importance—it’s all in the data!

6️⃣ Roadmap alignment without pushback.
- A rare and magical moment when everyone just says, “Sounds good!”

7️⃣ More time for strategic thinking.
- And fewer “Can you jump on a quick call?” moments.

8️⃣ A magical OKR tracker that updates itself.
- So I can spend less time chasing numbers and more time driving impact.

9️⃣ Customers who love the pricing strategy.
- No more “Too expensive!” or “Why not free?” debates.

🔟 All the resources to deliver on our product vision.
- And maybe a little extra runway, just in case.

For me, 2️⃣ 5️⃣ 7️⃣  top the list. Imagine a well-crafted product vision and the resources to deliver on it. The thought of that gives me butterflies. 🦋 🦋 🦋

Closing Thoughts

As we head into 2025, let’s carry these shared experiences—and a good dose of humour into another year of building, learning, and growing as product managers. A special thank you for staying with Product Prism and being a member of this community.

Looking Ahead:
Planning for next year is underway. We will start with a Product Finance series, shifting gears into PM 102 and also deep dive into some critical PM soft skills.

Thank you again for being part of the Product Prism journey. I wish you a joyful holiday season and a brilliant start to the new year! 🧑‍🎄
